Just as Phase Two is an intricate piece of your recovery, we have discovered that the women who participated in aftercare/alumni groups either here at HPCC or in their hometown had a better recovery rate than those who chose not to attend. The program is available to all clients who successfully complete treatment and meets weekly to address usual kinds of life issues that occur in early recovery.

Of course, not every client can avail themselves of our local aftercare/alumni program. Clients from out of town, who must return back to their hometown, are encouraged and directed to reunite with their referring therapist for a local support group in their area.

The clients from the Tampa Bay area or those who chose to stay in the area after graduation have formed a strong sober support system. Aftercare/Alumni women are a powerful support group who usually become either a temporary or regular sponsor for the new client in treatment as well as going to local functions as a group. Many women who enter HPCC have found this to be a safe area for their recovery process as there were many relapse factors waiting for them if they returned home.
